Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

We have a block of room for all guests at the The Embassy Suites by Hilton in Grand Rapids. Check out the Travel tab for details and contact information.

Are kids welcome?

Kids have been invited for select friends and family, therefore they are only invited if indicated on your RSVP. For those bringing their children, we are so excited to include them. We kindly ask that you ensure they are quiet and do not disturb the ceremony and special moments during the reception. Since we know that can be hard for little ones, we have set up a dedicated area on the second Floor with activities available if the need arises at any point during the evening for your children to be children! There will be specific kid friendly meals provided for all children during the reception.

Can I bring a plus one?

Unfortunately, Our celebration is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your wedding invitation.

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

The dress code for our wedding is Semi-formal/cocktail. Think dresses and dress pants but no need for floor length dresses or a full suit.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony and reception with be entirely indoors in the same building.

Are there other wedding events I can attend?

The only formal wedding event will be the ceremony and reception on Saturday afternoon.

What time should I arrive?

We recommend that you arrive at around 3:30 p.m. for the 4:00 p.m. ceremony to allow ample time to park and find your seat.

Will transportation be provided between the to and from the hotel, ceremony and reception?

There will be no dedicated transportation provided to the hotel or venue for our ceremony and reception. There is ample parking available at our venue and local ride share service, like Uber/Lyft are active in the Grand Rapids area. The hotel is conveniently located less than 5 minutes drive from the venue.

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

There is available parking behind the venue for guest parking as well as the street parking spots in front of the venue on Monroe Avenue.

Is it okay to post pictures of the wedding on Social Media?

Please respect our privacy and don't share photos of our wedding on social media, as we'd like to make a formal wedding announcement with our professional images.

Can we use our cell phones during our wedding?

We kindly ask that all guests refrain from using there phones for pictures during our ceremony.

Will there be food and drinks following the ceremony?

After the wedding ceremony, we will be serving light passed hors d’oeuvres accompanied with beverages of your choice before moving into the reception, dinner and dancing.

Will there be any vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free or special diet options?

For our wedding, the entire menu and all food provided, excluding the children specific meals ,will be entirely gluten-free. We will have a vegetarian hors d’oeuvres option available as well as a dinner option upon request. Please notify us on your RSVP if there are any other dietary restrictions required.

Where are you registered?

We are so thankful you will be joining us for this celebration of our love. While gifts are not expected, we have registered with Target and set up a fund for our dream honeymoon to Hawaii. A link to our wedding registry can be found under the registry tab.
